Russian Wheat Exports Up 33.4% Year-on-Year To 12.1Mln Tonnes As Of Sep 27
Russia increased its wheat exports 33.4 percent year-on-year to 12.135 million tonnes between the start of the 2018-2019 crop year on July 1 and September 27, and exported 12.135 million tonnes of wheat, 33.4 percent more than in the same period of the previous season, the Russian Agriculture Ministry said on Monday.
According to the Russian Federal Customs Service, Russia exported a total of 14.335 million tonnes of grain as of September 27, up 20.5 percent year-on-year. The figures includes 1.651 million tonnes of barley and 418,000 tonnes of corn.
During the last crop year, Russia"s grain exports amounted to 52.42 million tonnes, including 40.45 million tonnes of wheat. The Russian Agriculture Ministry expects grain exports in the current agricultural year to total 35-37 million tonnes, including 30 million tonnes of wheat.
